A two-day workshop about interactions between geologies, atmospheres and bodies.
01 – 02 July 2021 | 4 – 8pm @ Krater, Ljubljana
The two-day workshop examines interactions between geologies, atmospheres and bodies. We will become technologically and physically attuned to local energetic exchanges, investigating how material changes such as heat transform liquids into vapours, how invisible fumes condense, and how radioactive emissions can be made visible within clouds and vapours.
Participants will construct simple devices and situations for the creation and detection of smogs, particles and electromagnetic clouds and their energetic conversion into physical sound and visible phenomena.
Mentor
Martin Howse is occupied with an investigation of the links between the earth (its living creatures and geophysical phenomena), software and the human psyche (psychogeophysics) through the construction of experimental situations (performance, laboratories, walks, and workshops), material art works and texts. He is equally the creator of the skin-driven audio divination noise module, The Dark Interpreter, and the ERD modular synthesizer series.
